UH OH....does this sound like.....

So Brian, for this baby, REALLY likes the name Hallie. I like it too – its growing on me.

Everyone we have mentioned the name too says they also really like the name...

Here is the KICKER…

If you say the name 3 times to yourself with the last name “WAYNE” does it sound like….well….a different word…?

Without really coming outright and SAYING what we are fearing that it sounds like…we are wondering if its really obvious to anyone else. If NOT, then we may fell good to go ahead with the name…

So say “HALLIE WAYNE” to yourself, and tell us…if it sounds like…anything IN PARTICULAR to you.... (we are trying not to influence the outcome of this semi-survery!)

I did't, I repeat the name three times...and it's sounds like Halloween to me...My opinion it's not very important because I don't speak english, and maybe my pronunciantion was wrong.
Anyway, the name it's cute.

I thought it sounded like Halloween, but NEVER would have thought of that without you saying something. In fact, I had to say it more than just 3 times to figure it out. So if I were you I'd use it--it's super cute!

I actually didn't even think of Halloween. Not until those comments up there. Even still. Listen, my name doesn't sound like anything, but every still called me Camel Grahamcracker. There's no getting around it. And anyway, if there is something to sound like, a really cool holiday is nothing to be ashamed of!

Oh, and we are going to New York on the 28th and 29th. You? We are seeing Wicked and Lion King. If you guys are in town at the same time, let's get together!!

So, I tried it and it didn't sound like anything but Hallie Wayne to me. I read the Halloween comments above later, and I guess there is some similarities, but I promise I didn't think of it on my own. And for the record, I think Hallie is a DARLING name.

Oh, naming babies is the pits I think! I'm not looking forward to choosing a name for this gal in my tummy.

HA HA. yup, Halloween, but I NEVER would have thought of that without the 'survey' (thanks by not influencing me by the way!) ;)

it is DEFINITELY a cute name!! If you guys like it, I say use it.

Hallie Wayne. LOVE IT!!

...and actually the more I say it and think it, I think it's kind of cool how it's kind of a play on words...

Yeah, I had to say it alot before I got Halloween. And that is halloween with a really BAD southern twang. I think you should use the name. Its cute and I don't think many (especially kids who are teasing age) would get the connection. =)

Took me a while before I realized the Halloween similarity. I don't think anyone would put it together very easily. I think it's an adorable name!

Sorry to be the downer here, but I thought of Halloween right off, and I'd be a little hesitant about it! This is important - you can't easily change a name, and it can really shape the way a child thinks of themselves. At best, it would be a joke she'd get sick of pretty early on!

Yeah, it took me quite a few times saying it really fast to figure it out. I dunno. Naming kids is the pits, but once she gets married it'll change. It's hard. Yeah, it's a very cute name, yeah, it did take me a while to figure it out, but you can make it cool to have your kids name sound almost like "Halloween," or you can be ashamed. She'll pick up on your cues. Hey, if you start now you can come up with catchy comebacks and responses for her to tell her friends
